James Price-Chandler
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
About Me
James Chandler, LMHC, began his career in education as a teacher, where he discovered his passion for connecting with and supporting young people. His experiences working with students ultimately inspired him to transition into the mental health field, where he could continue helping individuals navigate emotional, behavioral, and life challenges.
Today, James brings years of experience in mental health counseling, crisis prevention and intervention, and substance abuse counseling. He has worked with individuals in both individual and group settings and has a special passion for working with youth. His background in education and behavioral health allows him to connect with young people in a meaningful way while helping them develop healthy coping skills, build confidence, and navigate difficult circumstances.
James currently works in a juvenile correctional setting, where he provides mental health support to youth and completes assessments, crisis evaluations, and treatment planning. His approach is compassionate, supportive, and focused on meeting each young person where they are.
James believes that every young person deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported—and he is passionate about helping them recognize their strengths and build a healthier path forward.
